Management

Joseph Arengi , , , President & CEO

Mr. Arengi is an accomplished geologist with more than 35 years of exploration and operational experience throughout Canada, Central America, South America and Africa. Prior to joining Alder Resources, Mr. Arengi was V. P. Exploration for Hana Mining Ltd. where he managed the team that discovered 4 billion pounds of copper and 60 million ounces of silver in the Kalahari Copper Belt of northwest Botswana. Prior to that he was Regional Exploration Manager of Central America and the Caribbean Basin for Aur Resources Inc., a mid-tier copper producer acquired by Teck Resources Ltd. in 2007. His background also includes work on a wide range of projects, from early-stage exploration to supervision of resource and reserve estimation. Mr. Arengi has extensive consulting experience in the Mining Triangle of northeast Nicaragua, an area that includes the Rosita copper district. Mr. Arengi holds a M.Sc. in Geology from the University of Toronto and a B.Sc. in Geology from the State University of New York. He is a registered member of the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario (APGO) and a member of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC).

John Spurney , , , VP Exploration

A geologist with over 30 years of diversified technical and managerial experience in mineral exploration, primarily in Latin America, the Western U.S. and Asia, Mr. Spurney has evaluated a wide variety of precious and base metal deposits in metallogenic belts around the world. John played a key role in discovery of the Cerro Crucitas and Conchudita epithermal gold deposits (in Costa Rica), and the Cerro Casale porphyry gold-copper deposit (in Chile). John has worked both as an independent consultant, and an employee for such world class companies as Placer Dome, Barrick Gold, Kinross Gold, Brett Resources, Bema Gold, and Getty Mining. Mr. Spurney received his B.Sc. (1979) and M.Sc. (1984) degrees in geology from Kent State University in the U.S.

Ryan Ptolemy , , , CFO

Mr. Ryan Ptolemy is a Certified General Accountant and CFA charter holder. Mr. Ptolemy is also currently CFO of Rodinia Lithium Inc. and the CFO of Belo Sun Mining Corp.. From August 2005 to September 2009, Mr. Ptolemy was at an independent investment dealer in Toronto, most recently serving as CFO where he was responsible for financial reporting, auditing, budgeting and internal controls.

Josh Van Deurzen , , MBA, JD , , Corporate Secretary

Josh Van Deurzen is a corporate and securities lawyer who works as a legal consultant to various public and private companies in the resource-based sectors. Previously, Mr. Van Deurzen practiced law at large law firms in New York and Toronto. Mr. Van Deurzen received a Master of Business Administration and a Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto.
